Bio
Life is a never ending learning experience full of excitement and inspiration, and for Amanda Peterson, her drive and passion for life and love is very evident in her music. Growing up in a very musical environment, surrounded and influenced by many talented individuals, Amanda spent her young life exploring all aspects of music. Indulging in the classical arts, the piano, jazz and band ensembles, all those different styles of music have helped her gain experience and shape her own distinct and unique style.
After teaching herself to play the guitar, Amanda began to explore her thoughts through songwriting. Her honest and emotional lyrics paint pictures and tell stories that portray beautiful moments, hurtful memories, and bittersweet experiences. Her pure vocals render a certain beauty of tone, which fits flawlessly with her heartfelt melodies.
Amanda has recently been accepted into the music program at the University of Lethbridge where she will study voice and work to attain her Bachelor of Music. After releasing her Debut EP in late August of 2010, she is currently writing and working towards the release of her first album.
