Steal the Scenery are a talented four piece from San Diego, California. Made up of Bobby Frausto (vocals/guitar), Gilbert Salcido (guitar), Joey Agustin (bass) and Danny Salcido (drums) this quartet show how a variety of influences can lead to impressive and memorable songs equipped with powerful lyrics, sing along choruses and dance worthy melodies. With their debut full length 'All Or Nothing' already captivating fans, the band are remaining hard at work hoping to have their second release, 'The Art of Breaking Hearts' out by late September.
The first single from 'The Art of Breaking Hearts', "Monster" is now available for purchase from the bands Reverbnation Store. Alternatively you can listen to it below.
"Monster" starts out with strong electronic beats that are both fun and dance worthy, and while they remain a prominent aspect of the song they never reach the level of boring or repetitive. The upbeat, energetic nature of the song will draw fans in immediately, and the boys have remembered to include their fan-favourite sing-along choruses which is sure to earn them bonus points. With a similar theme to Cobra Starships hit track "Good Girls Go Bad", Steal the Scenery present raspy vocals in this track which are somewhat compelling, and mixed with the melodic riffs and synth breakdowns they have certainly managed to created a positive taster and high expectations for their next release. 5/5

From San Diego, California come Steal The Scenery with their new single, ‘Monster’. This is the first track from their sophomore album ‘The Art of Breaking Hearts’, the follow up to 2010’s debut album, ‘All Or Nothing’.
The single demonstrates the diverse array of musical tastes that have influenced the band and their musical style. You can pick-up the inspirations from a pop-punk background as well as sways from a more dance scene. The tune is certainly creative and catchy with separate input from all angles of the band complimenting the soft pop vocals of lead singer, Bobby Frausto. This is also in addition to a hard-hitting beat incorporating disco-dubstep splodges and switch-ups.
From a purely lyrical point of view, the Monster in this aspect is referred to as being that past relationship partner who is regarded as somewhat a manipulator at times, whilst also attaining that attributes of that loving, caring kind. The twist with this song is that it is written from the perspective of the monster, rather than the expected perspective of the analyser and ex-partner of the monster.

In 2008, California saw the birth of four-piece pop band Steal the Scenery. With influences that run the gamut and a knack for entertaining that some of the guys have honed since they were just kids, Steal the Scenery has made great strides since their inception only two short years ago. Winning a endorsement from SJC Drums and having the opportunity to play in front of thousands of people at a Padres baseball game, STS is wasting no time getting their name out there. With the release of their debut album All Or Nothing under their belts, the guys are preparing to tour and work on on their next release.
