Bio
Papercut is a New York City Rock Duo that originated in Houston (TX). Papercut features the music stylings of Cheeto (age 19) and Jorge Davila (age 21). Jorge prefers sitting on a drum throne and smashing heads, while Cheeto prefers slaughtering people with a six-string axe.
The two have pursued music together in previous acts. Cheeto and Jorge soon realized they acquired the same vision for their music. This vision caused the two to linger away from the typical four-piece band setting and into the more imaginative song-writing process of their duo.
Every Papercut record is written in a live setting and eventually makes its way into a full studio recording. The band puts on an energetic and ball-shattering live performance that emotionally obliterates the crowd's perception between what is real and what is a mere figment of their imagination. Papercut allows their catchy electronic rhythmics and melodic vocals to drive the music, while still remaining true to their rock band roots. The band resides to New York City as of July 2010.
